The story of
WalodrfMinds

The story of this no-profit project

The beggining

This summer, absorbed in boredom, I asked myself why I still did not know all the high school students who had followed a similar or perhaps different but ideally overlapping path of growth to mine? And how much being born and living on the other side of the world might have varied the teachings dictated by the Steinerian pedagogy and then... the African, German, American or Chinese boys had all sung the song of St Martin with lantern in hand... what was left to them
as far as which continent that half-cloak had reached....
well...the questions were many and slowly some answers began to arrive; certainly partial, but over the days the ideas outweighed the questions and I think I am only at the beginning of the work.

The idea

The first idea was to use a social, but it couldn't be a facebook-instagram-tiktok, too many photos, filters, looks and likes certainly too little "Waldorf" and then why go there? The idea was to find or at least devise a social where the main imprint was something else
perhaps no photos but words, thoughts, emotions, projects and drawings; and then: in what language should it be possible to speak? Considering Italian as a first hypothesis, I immediately realised that I wouldn't be able to get very far; so the simplest solution to put the world in touch was to hypothesise being able to communicate in English. Yes! In English! That was the reason for joining this 'social': to be able to practise English with girls of other nationalities and socialise, meet and grow! It doesn't matter if then within WaldorfMinds (the genesis of the name lasted several nights), the "waldisc" will be born, it will be nice to correct each other by realising one and more meeting projects.
As time went by, this idea got me so involved that I started to realise it via a website and after talking about it with some teachers at our school and receiving their encouragement I took advantage of the "fit" (Facebook Instagram TikTok) to make it known to some Waldorf high schools around the world and with much happiness I found out that the project had won over many more people.

The realization

I was then contacted by the representative of the Waldorf students from northern Germany in Hamburg, who invited me to present the project at the annual meeting in Hamburg on 15 September 2022. On that occasion I sent a video in which I invited that beautiful audience of Waldorf students to help me disseminate WaldorfMinds. And again in mid-November a video of the application was presented at the federal conference of Waldorf students in Germany. It is easy to see that membership has started to grow and I hope it will grow even more by making communication between Waldorf people easier and making it an opportunity for growth.
